JSI's Inaugural Symposium

"JOSEPH: Beacon of Hope for the Pilgrim Church"
Our inaugural Symposium will take place online and in the context of the Jubilee of 2025, with the theme of “JOSEPH: Beacon of Hope for the Pilgrim Church.” This theme can accommodate a wide variety of topics, such as, for example:
St Joseph: Exemplar of the Theological Virtue of Hope
St Joseph and Pope Benedict XVI’s encyclical Spe salvi (Saved in Hope)
St Joseph and Pope Francis’s Spes Non Confundit (Hope Does Not Disappoint)
Hope-filled Consecration to Saint Joseph
St Joseph: Hope of Husbands, Fathers, Workers
St Joseph: A Bridge of Hope between East and West
Call for Speakers! Presentations are not to exceed 30 minutes to allow for Q&A afterwards. Presenters must submit their talk abstracts and biographical sketch to JSI (JosephologySociety@gmail.com) before February 1, 2025. Speakers may subsequently submit a paper for consideration for publication in Josephology Studies.
Call for Papers! Submissions of scholarly papers to Josephology Studies are welcome from members of the Society and from non-members. Articles are sent to JSI (JosephologySociety@gmail.com). Authors must format their submissions according to the Antiphon style guide and The Chicago Manual of Style and include a brief biographical sketch. Abstracts will be accepted until May 1; however, June 15, 2025 is the deadline for full papers. Submissions that have been previously published in English will not be considered for publication. Book and Music Reviews are also welcome.
